Fight Club

Fight Club is one of my favorite movies. Although it didn't gain much popularity upon its release, it quickly rose to the top of one of the most well produced film over the recent years. Starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton, the movie's plot revolves around Edward Norton, an office working, single man, living in an apartment filled with catalog filled furniture. On top of having insomnia, he narrates the film in the tone that he needs something new in his life. He constantly provides the audience facts of his boring life: working non-stop, doing the same things day after day. On one flight, he meets Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt), who has the same suitcase as him, and is referred to as the most interesting man he's ever met. Upon arrival to his apartment, Edward Norton finds that his home is now burnt to ashes, with nowhere to stay. He ends up calling Tyler, whose business card he obtained from him on the flight. Norton meets Tyler, and their relationship from that point forward explodes into life-changing events for Edward Norton as the plot further develops. Many themes are incorporated into this movie. One interesting theme in this movie is the perspective which the characters have towards corporate America. Other notable actors in this movie are Jared Leto and Meatloaf, who both play outstanding roles along with the rest of the cast. The movie is directed by David Fincher and the screenplay is by Chuck Palahniuk, who wrote the novel in which the movie is based off of. I highly recommend this movie to anybody who has not seen it. I promise you will not be disappointed.
