Guardians of the Galaxy

The new film Guardians of the Galaxy has gained a large amount of attention after its premiere. The new Marvel movie stars Chris Pratt as the main character, along with Bradley Cooper as the voice of another character, Vin Diesel as the voice of another character, and Dave Bautista the WWE wrestler. The plot revolves around this one orb that Chris Pratt has found, being very high in value to many people. Ronan the Accuser is the main villain in this movie, who desires the orb more than anybody else. I can't release much else of the plot without spoiling it, but I will say that there's a lot of very good action throughout the movie. The movie gained lots of popularity due to its extremely high reviews on both Rotten Tomatoes and IMDB. At first, critics were upset about the decision of the director, who has had a sub-par past career, but has now gained respect after the release of this movie. Chris Pratt has a decent career in my point of view, but after this movie, his popularity has surely increased immensely. The rest of the cast did very well and i was very ie mpressed with the outcome of this movie. Upon viewing it in the theaters for the first time, I was aware of very well styled directing and special effects. The script was also very funny even though the movie's plot is more action derived. I enjoyed seeing  Merle from the Walking Dead in this movie as a pretty main role. He executed his role perfectly and I would have to say he is one of my favorite parts of the movie along with the soundtrack. The soundtrack consists of songs that the director gathered together and showed to Chris Pratt, announcing to him that this would play a key part in the plot of the movie. The soundtrack was #1 on iTunes after the movie was released. In conclusion, I would like to end this post saying that if you have not seen this movie, I highly recommend that you see it.

Dazed and Confused

Dazed and Confused is definitely one of my favorite movies. This movie centers around various groups of high school students in 1976 Texas on their last day of high school before their summer prior to senior year. As this last day ends, the upcoming seniors haze the incoming freshmen as a ritual by paddling them and humiliating them. After the hazing takes place, the summer begins and the high school students go on about their start of summer, mainly driving around and drinking and smoking. The film intricately observes the several groups of high school students and how they interact, and also their problems, issues, plans, etc. mainly anything that a common high school student during that time would do. An interesting thing about this movie is that Matthew McConaughey and Ben Affleck star in it. McConaughey plays a rather humorous role of a man in his early 20's who still associates himself with high school kids. Another interesting things about this movie is that the actor Adam Goldberg-who plays an insecure high school teen that gets bullied quite often, and at the end of the movie he fights the bully who's been bothering him- plays a tough guy hitman in the recent series Fargo on FX. Quentin Tarantino notes this film as one of his all time favorites and one more actress that is well known in this film is Milla Jovovich, the main character of Resident Evil. I highly recommend this film to anybody who hasn't seen it because it's definitely one you can not miss.

Super Troopers

This classic comedy focuses on a station of Highway Patrol officers who are quite sub-par at their jobs. The movie follows five officers who consist of pranksters and dimwits as they perform their daily occupations, managing to squeeze in pranks even on their shifts while on duty. The plot of the film revolves around the highway patrol officers struggling to keep their jobs, while the local police department, who have no respect for the highway patrol officers, throws obstacles their way. The comedy style of this movie is one that I would assume is of the general  audience favoring. This film is a great comedy movie and I suggest it to anybody who hasn't seen it.

A Movie To Look Forward To

Although this is more of anticipation rather than a review, it is worth the time to discuss. The upcoming film Batman vs. Superman is rumored to be released next year. Although the film is being released after Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy (who just released Interstellar, which i have yet to see), it is in no way correlated and the new director of this movie is Zack Snyder. Zack Snyder has a rather impressive career in my eyes, directing the films such as Watchmen and 300, which i personally enjoy. His style is very unique, and in most of his movies the visual aspects of each scene feel amplified and more fluent, and not to mention that his presentation of action scenes are very impressive. Anyways, after watching the trailer and doing research on Batman vs. Superman, the most interesting part of the film is that Ben Affleck will appear as Bruce Wayne/Batman, despite Christian Bale being the most recent Batman. Superman will be played by Henry Cavill, who played the same role in the most recent Superman movie, Man of Steel (which is also directed by Snyder). Some critics and fans were outraged upon hearing the announcement of Affleck playing the role of Batman, including me. Ive never been a huge fan of him but regardless i still want to see the movie. Im looking forward to it!
